Adobe is rolling out new AI video tools for its Premiere Pro software. These tools are part of the Firefly family and will let users make videos with simple text prompts. These features are similar to Photoshop’s Generative Fill.

You can add or remove objects in videos and extend video clips with these tools. Adobe has not given a release date yet. They did share that the tools will be available sometime this year.

Adobe also showed an early demo of their video model. They are considering adding third-party integrations with Runway, Pika Labs, and OpenAI’s Sora models. These integrations are not set in stone yet. Adobe calls this an "early exploration" of the future.

The goal is to give Premiere Pro users more choices. For example, they could use Pika to extend shots or use Sora and Runway AI to generate B-roll. Adobe’s Content Credentials labels will show which AI models were used.

The new tools will change how video editing works, making it easier and faster. This is good news for video editors who want to save time and effort.
